Market Update – Home sellers perfect storm

In the 30+ years I have been in the real estate business I have never seen the real estate market like it! The number of homes active on the market in the East Bay is slowly decreasing each week. Just two week ago (early November) there were 680 homes active on the market and now (mid November) there are only 543 homes active on the market. Here is the break down by city on the number of homes active on the market:

– San Ramon: 28 (typically 180-200 homes active on the market this time of year)
– Pleasanton: 29 – Dublin: 27 (typically 200 homes active on the market this time of year)
– Livermore: 66
– Danville: 39

Interest rates are still low at about 2.5% with rates possibly increasing next year so it’s still a great market for buyers as well. If you have questions or want more information, don’t hesitate to give us a call!
